Job Title: Landscape and Maintenance Supervisor

Our client is seeking a reliable, hands-on Landscape and Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee daily landscape maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crew management, equipment oversight, and ensuring high-quality landscaping services that meet client expectations and company standards.
Ensure all team members arrive on time and are fully prepared for daily tasks.
Assign roles and responsibilities according to the scope of work and site requirements.
Promote team efficiency while upholding quality performance.
Verify all tools, materials, and equipment are properly loaded and secured before leaving the shop.
Conduct pre- and post-use checks and report equipment maintenance needs.
Oversee mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing to achieve professional finishes.
Adjust mowing patterns based on lawn conditions, weather, and client preferences.
Monitor and ensure the precision of trimming and edging.
Supervise weeding, pruning, and mulching.
Identify and address plant health issues such as pests or nutrient deficiencies.
Train crew on seasonal pruning and care practices.
Inspect irrigation systems for functionality and efficiency.
Modify watering schedules based on weather conditions.
Instruct team members on proper watering methods.
Ensure removal and disposal of all green waste and debris.
Conduct final site inspections to meet company standards.
Direct crews for efficient job site cleanup.
Enforce the use of PPE and compliance with safety protocols.
Identify and correct hazards or unsafe behaviors.
Maintain high work quality on every site.
Perform weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly evaluations of properties.
Report long-term landscape concerns and recommend improvements.
Coordinate fertilization, aeration, and advanced lawn treatments.
Support performance evaluations and make staffing recommendations.
Minimum 3 years of experience in landscaping or groundskeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, equipment operation, and landscape maintenance.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate landscaping machinery.
Flexible schedule may be required to meet client demands.
