We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/Maintenance Worker for a temporary, part-time assignment. The ideal candidate is an all-rounder with hands-on experience across multiple trades, including masonry, carpentry, electrical installation, plumbing, and painting. This role will support general maintenance needs and a special project involving the conversion of a container into a functional office space.
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across facilities
Carry out minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, changing fittings, and clearing blockages
Conduct basic electrical work including installation of fixtures, outlets, and minor wiring tasks (within safe practice limits)
Complete carpentry assignments including repairs, installations, framing, shelving, and general woodwork
Assist with masonry tasks such as patching, blockwork repairs, and small structural adjustments
Perform painting, sanding, surface preparation, and general finish work
Assist with preparing, sanding, and painting the interior and exterior of the container
Support installation of basic fixtures, partitions, shelving, and fittings
Help ensure the converted office space meets functional and safety standards
Safely operate tools and equipment related to assigned tasks
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, orderly, and hazard-free
Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
Transport materials, tools, and supplies as needed
Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or multi-skilled tradesperson
Working knowledge of:
Masonry
Carpentry
Electrical installation
Plumbing
Painting & finishing
Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
Must have a valid manual light goods driver’s licence
Heavy-duty driver’s licence is preferred but not required
Part-time, temporary contract
Work may include outdoor tasks, lifting, bending, and use of tools
Must be comfortable working on specific short-term projects
