We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our pizza restaurant kitchen team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality pizzas and other menu items. This role is crucial in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and meets food safety standards.
Prepare ingredients for pizzas and other menu items, including chopping vegetables, preparing dough, grating cheese, and portioning sauces.
Label and store all prepped ingredients according to food safety standards.
Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately to minimize waste and maintain consistency.
Maintain a clean and organized prep station and kitchen area.
Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries.
Ensure proper storage of food items and rotation of stock using FIFO methods.
Support line cooks and kitchen staff as needed during service.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and kitchen sanitation standards.
Proven experience in a kitchen or prep cook role (pizza kitchen experience is a plus).
Basic understanding of food preparation and hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Team player with good communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
