Our client, a well-established Barbadian-owned group of companies, is seeking a results-driven and hands-on Divisional Manager to oversee one of its key operational divisions. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an individual with experience in industrial services, fabrication, and team management, who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Role Summary

As Divisional Manager, you will lead a multifaceted operation, managing business development, pricing, proposals, aftersales support, and workshop coordination. You will play a pivotal role in sourcing new business, maintaining high standards of service, and driving operational efficiency. Collaboration with internal teams and the ability to lead and develop technical staff including welders and workshop personnel is essential to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and secure new business opportunities across the division

  • Price equipment, specialized bodies, parts, materials, and workshop services while tracking costs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction

  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations and commercial proposals in a timely manner

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality aftersales service to all clients

  • Monitor sales performance and customer feedback to continuously improve offerings and service standards

  • Oversee the coordination of workshop resources, including fabrication teams and welders, and adapt operations as needed to meet Group goals

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives around tools, job execution processes, and team development

  • Review and optimize internal processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste

  • Handle administrative tasks including effective file management and record keeping

General Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate initiative in developing skills and knowledge across all areas of the division

  • Engage fully in additional responsibilities including training courses and in-house learning opportunities

  • Maintain strong attention to detail and uphold high standards in all duties

  • Promote and maintain workplace health, safety, and cleanliness

  • Present yourself professionally and serve as a role model for the wider team

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in divisional or operational management, ideally within fabrication, mechanical services, or industrial sectors

  • Strong working knowledge of fabrication and experience managing welders and workshop operations

  • Demonstrated ability to write proposals and prepare quotations for industrial equipment and service contracts

  • Strong business development skills with a history of meeting revenue targets

  • Proficient in managing budgets, tracking costs, and controlling pricing

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and improve internal systems and workflows

  • Committed to high standards of quality, safety, and customer service
