Essential duties and responsibilities
- Attain sales goals and business objectives by applying sound judgment to execute the franchise and company brand strategy and tactics within the assigned customer segment. This may include Physicians, Practice Staff & Nurses, Procurement Personnel, and other influential decision makers within targeted accounts in your detailing area
- Make Presentations and offer training to all persons above. This can occur in the medical setting during the day or in the evenings at a local venue. Also organize conferences for Doctors and other medical staff.
- Deliver a targeted sales message based on accurate clinical information, utilizing approved marketing materials to educate decision makers.
- Stay current with the latest clinical data provided by the Company and suppliers, and effectively interpret, present, and discuss this information with healthcare professionals.
- Execute marketing strategies by effectively leveraging resources and collaborating with team members and counterparts to share ideas and insights, ultimately driving improved business results.
- Strategically plan your work schedule with weekly and monthly timetables to ensure daily detailing of 7-10 Key Opinion Leaders.
- Track and report on all sales activity as required by HES, Sales and Business Development Manager.
- Work cross-functionally in a collaborative fashion across the organization with other supporting team members to promote the product portfolios in a compliant manner.
- Regularly attend Company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings.
- Monitor and report on competitor’s products and activity.
- Maintain knowledge of new developments in field, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly.
- Demonstrate analytical and strategic thinking to identify opportunities.
- Develop, execute and maintain key account business plans.
- Monitor and assess competitive environment and market dynamics to anticipate sales opportunities and prepare for potential objections as they relate to clinical, or other product-related challenges.
- Any other related activities may be deemed necessary from time to time by the HES Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or General Manager.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal staff, medical staff and supporting administrative staff.
- Adhere to the company’s quality & customer service standards and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement through reporting non-conformance, customer complaints & process improvements to immediate manager.
- Manage advertising and promotional budgets.
- Keep detailed records of all contacts.
- Work with Sales Manager and participate in supply chain management by contributing to the ICM (Inventory Control Monitor) process.
- Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field such as Life Sciences, Medical or Healthcare related discipline.
- At least 2 years experience in marketing/ sales preferably in the health care industry.
- Or relevant combination of training & experience.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical Sales Representatives are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise. MSR’s are required to work a number of weekend and holidays during the quarter, as determined by local management. Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
- Adheres to company policies, standards and procedures, including Health and Safety, Fire Prevention, Hygiene and Discipline.
- Performs any other ancillary and/or related duties as may be assigned.
